The Talent Resource Navigator provides clarity and connection to the vast education and workforce landscape in Indiana, intentionally guiding and connecting individuals and employers with talent development providers based on the user’s needs.

Helping Make Sense of Statewide Workforce Resources

A free, web-based tool supported by on-demand customer service and technical assistance, the Navigator has four main goals:

  1. Collect, organize, and disseminate vetted information on proven talent development strategies and practices
  2. Increase capacity for building robust talent pipelines across regions, industries and institutions in Indiana
  3. Grow the numbers of organizations and individuals that are actively and productively engaged in talent development
  4. Improve career-related education and training in Indiana by strengthening the feedback loop among business, education, community and government partners

The good news is, there are hundreds of Hoosier organizations working to assist employers statewide in finding and developing talent. Navigating the range of programs and providers can be daunting. The Navigator can help make sense of the options and narrow in on workforce resources that are most relevant to employers’ needs. Through the Navigator, employers can connect to job training funding, use the featured talent pipeline assessment tool to help strengthen their talent pipeline, and connect with our talent and training consultants to find relevant, vetted local partners and programs.

Individuals

Getting additional education and training can open doors for individuals and keep them open – providing options and the flexibility to make a change down the line. But with hundreds of education and job training programs across Indiana, knowing where to start can be overwhelming and confusing.

The Navigator helps connect individuals to career coaches to explore career paths and job opportunities, identify low-cost training programs and link individuals to resources that address barriers to employment.

Providers

The Navigator is built to house resources offered by Indiana providers, which can include any organization providing a program, certificate, credential or resource. If the organization has resources designed to help Hoosiers skill up or address employers’ workforce needs, our team wants to hear about it! Our team collects and verifies all providers to ensure quality, and after the resource is vetted, the provider will have access to update and edit its resource and partner pages within the Navigator.

Our talent and training consultants are ready to help individuals and employers find and connect to vetted partners and programs equipped to meet their needs. On each page, users have the ability to schedule a call to speak directly with a team member or send a message.

Talent Pipeline Assessment (For Employers)

Developed in partnership by a broad cross-section of business, community and education leaders, Talent Pipeline Assessments are available to help employers evaluate and benchmark their current talent development strategy against recognized best practices. When an assessment module is completed, the Navigator will suggest relevant resources, based on the participant’s results, that can help further strengthen the organization’s talent pipeline. Additionally, the Institute will proactively notify users as new resources aligned with their interests/needs are added to the Navigator in the future.
